Meeting Fellow Penn Staters at the Dean's Tailgate

The Dean’s Tailgate was a great event held right in the Penn State business building, making it the perfect setting to connect with alumni and showcase Core Carry in a more personal, laid-back environment. Huge thanks to Dr. Jeanette Miller and the team at Smeal College of Business for organizing this opportunity for our class – they really created a space where we could meet alumni, share our ventures, and learn from each other.

Being there with my classmates, each of us talking our projects, made the experience even better. It wasn’t just about pitching; it was about hanging out, talking about our ideas, and supporting each other. Seeing everyone’s projects discussed in a real-world setting added this extra level of excitement and pride in what we’re all building.

Meeting alumni who’ve been through Penn State and are now out in the world was inspiring. They listened to our stories, asked about our ventures, and shared advice from their own experiences. It was awesome to make those connections and feel their genuine interest in what we’re doing. By the end of the day, I felt more motivated and grateful to be part of a community that supports young entrepreneurs like us.

All in all, the tailgate was a great mix of networking, learning, and just enjoying time with fellow Penn Staters. It was a reminder of how strong the Penn State network is and how lucky I am to be part of it. Thank you to everyone who made it happen – it’s events like these that make the Penn State experience so memorable.
